Alfas in historic racing Denmark

Its been a while, so I thought I'd give you an update on the historic racing scene here in Denmark. The season has started out with a massive turnout of more than 20 cars in each of the two historic classes; the pre-65 and the pre-71. Heres a few of the Alfas in the 65-class:

This one is supposedly an original TI Super - if so the only one with RHD steering. History says it was crashed at then rebuilt in the UK. All aluminum parts are there and correct serialnumber:

a replica:

and another one:

and the last one:

In the 71-class the GTAm's are struggling keeping up with the BMW2002's:

Ooops, blown headgasket:

Oh, and this is me:

Results are pretty good; so far I'm #1 in my division and #3 in the national championships. But with 6 races to go, anything can happen.

Me likey the blue (no. 39) GTAm (assume replica). Correct wheels and for once you can see rivets where the flairs are attached.

The red GTAm (replica) looks like it has the correct light doors ... but no rivets

Your Spider looks mean

Really cool pics...

Thanks

I think I've read an article on that particular TI Super (can't remember where though) I seem to remember them talking about having converted it to RHD when rebuilding (not sure...) Would have preferred to see it in it's original colour - very special car anyway.

Yes, the dark blue Giulia #85 was indeed built by AutoChristiano in Holland. I believe it was a later Super - at least it was fitted with a 2-litre engine, it has since been converted to TI Super spec with standing pedals, 1600cc engine, etc.

The owner of the GTAm is also the one who imported Giulia #85 AND the one who owns the original Giulia TI Super. Lucky dude. The GTAm is indeed a replica - as are the wheels which are now reproduced, but look great! Heres a pic of the car with some steelrims that look rather cool too.

I agree - the TI Super should've retained its original white Bianco Spino - but the current livery sure looks great too.

Now, I just need to make my Spider as mean as it looks! - in order to keep up with the rest of the Alfa bunch. First of all I need a Panhard rod setup - I'm waiting for Anthony/Alfastuff to give me a quote on that.

I went to the Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix in 2004.

Sorry about the pic quality. The original is pretty far away so I zoomed and cropped.

Nice pic! I must have been standing right next to the other photographer.

I'm not sure when I'll be able to make it Denmark again... but if I do, I'll try to schedule it around a gp. That time I actually drove down from Aalborg in the morning and drove back up the same day (wish I'd known about the ferry routes in the morning ).

Very cool Spider. From a distance at first it looks like a Lotus Elan, maybe because of the yellow
and green colour scheme, but wait...it is a Spider. The first 105 Spider I have seen taking part in historic racing.
