What do 164 wheels look like on a milano?

so i see that milanos & 164's have the same bolt pattern & offset (i think) but i've never seen a milano with the stock 164 wheels on it. do they fit? does anyone have any pics? just curious as i saw a 164 at the pick a part and wondering what the 15" oem wheels would look like on my milano.

it seems like an easy upgrade to 15" wheels if everything fits ok. i guess they're not very wide (6 or 6.5") but it's surely better than the 14's on most milanos.

love to see some pics

Do a search, there are pictures posted from a while back.

They will fit, but a very small amount of the center bore needs to be ground out with a dremel. Why Alfa decided to change the bore by such a small amount? Who knows.

I think you could put 10mm spacers on and than you don't need to open the bore up. The difference is 58.6 for milano vs. 58.1 for 164.

once again, there goes 1 hour out of my life i'll never get back using the horrible alfaBB search engine which might as well be completely random.

oh, well, saw some other interesting stuff but nothing remotely related to 164 wheels on a milano.

anyone have any pics or a link?

ok, thanks for that info.

eh, 0.5mm? just bolt the f**kers on and, voila, built in spacer!

actually, who has cheap spacers for milanos? seems like a good mod for any milano as the wheels could stand to be moved out a bit.

It's interesting to point out that Milano and 75 bores are the same. My car is an euro-spec '87 Quadrifoglio and by chance I've got the standard "14 wheels as well as a Verde's set in ''15 and both are a perfect fit. I've been considering 164 V6 Turbo Wheels, and it's worth knowing that they're slightly different.

Yeah. Good luck succeeding in making the aluminum wheel and the steel hub melt together to erase that 0.50mm, with just the torque you apply to the lug nuts!

The wheel will never sit flush against the hub face, hence will always be cockeyed to the hub.

Go ahead, a little wobble never hurt anyone

Urgh you'd be surprised just how much of a difference that 0.5mm makes. It's impossible to without without hacking or adapting.

But basically any wheel from a new FWD Alfa (164>) centrebore is slightly smaller. It's not that difficult to machine them out, but it's a pain.

ROCK ON

I had 164L wheels on my Verde and now I have 164LS. They look great. It is easy to open up the hub a bit with a Dremel. I think that I had spacers on the front 164L wheels to avoid interference with the calipers. I used the ones from the 164 rear wheels.

Ok, here's one taken some time ago. The 164L wheels now back to the 164's and the Verde now has phone dial wheels back on.

The second picture is a current picture. Both the '88 Verde and likely the '86 Quad next to it are for sale if anybody is interested (PM me)!
