Stiff shifter

My suggestion is to leave it alone for a while and drive it. The shift rod slides through a bronze bushing and if the car sat for a while they rust and that`s why it is stiff. It will wear off the rust and loosen up.
Get that lube out of the trans! It is too slippery for the syncros will destroy the syncros. See other post on the BB. Not designed for friction type as in Alfas. Use Rednine NS. 75-90.
he cross member is designed to be dropped, and the front of the trans lowered, however disconnect the shifter at the front first to prevent binding. The problem is not accessable without removing the entire shift assembly and clutch cover (entire clutch/crossmember/Dedion must be pulled down, and exhaust delt with). See 1st sentence.

If you want to tighten up Isostatic shifter I have a transmission section complete, removed from Verde. $100.00 shipped in US.
