Stock Air filter '75 2.5

Not a very clever question, as you may notice. I bought a new original Alfa Romeo Air filter for my '75 and was surpirsed to see the side-up marking was exactly the other way I thought! That is, the wire mesh upwards, facing the AFM exit. Is this correct? (That's the silly question, no doubt) Because, the other way about, does a lot more sense and fits better in between the two halves of the air box. A simple answer will be great or a redirection to a previous thread talking this issue.

The air filter box described the article as a 164 Turbodiesel device, but it fits the '75 as explained.

Thanks and again, this forum is awesome!

The wire mesh should be on the back side of the air filter (the side the air comes out of). Its only purpose is to support the paper filter against the drag of the incoming air.
