did you do a search on the bb? I think there is a few kits out there. but I know I saw some where where the bush was replaced with small bearings. looked like soming from a R/C car.

that looked like the best fix.

best fix, i turned some up out of bushing brass, oil impregnated brass.
when they heat up a little [barly warm] theyll self lube, heat from the exhaust is plenty. and when they cool they suck the oil back in. they can be repacked with oil too.
got rid of all my slack, except for the ball joint at the rear, which im ganna look around for a replacement.
im a fitter and turner so i have everything at my feet to do the job... one day ill get on CAD and do a CNC program for a bushing kit if theres interest in it.

all the left-right play was the rear ball to ball link on mine. I just used a vice and a hammer to tighen up the cups. (put the threaded part in the vice jaws but not tight just close and pounded on the back side, I move rotated it around as I pounded to get it nice and even.) This remove like 2in. of right/left play in my car, now it has zero play. as for the front to back play the was the part that goes on the shift rod. I just got a better used one that fits on tight and that fixed that. the old one was oblong and moved a lot on the shift rod. the big ball seemed to be in good shape. the bush on the shifter I did chage a long long time ago but did not seem to do much. I think all that a new one can do is fix the rattel sound if you have that. but it did not change the feel at all. all the problens where in the back. in my case.
