Question Alfa 147GTA VS Alfa 75 IMSA?

<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cVfrMp_6pMQ&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cVfrMp_6pMQ&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

I'm wondering how come the 75 is slower in the corner?? wrong setup??

I don't know what that is, but it's obviously faster than a normal Alfa 12valve V6.

Not a 75 Turbo. That 75 has a 2.0L 16V Super Touring engine (290 bhp). The 147 has a 2.0L "147 Cup" engine (220bhp)

This video should be shown pasted into the "RWD vs FWD" debates

Both cars are 2.0-liter. Both probably had a lot of R&D in them (at least we know the 75 IMSA does). Yet they're neck-and-neck to the finish. Hrrrmmmm .....

But there are some many little things that we are not aware of that could throw one car off its pace. Maybe one is running on worn out tires, etc. Add the variable of driver skills, and it doesn't say all that much about the potential of the cars. It is like when someone posts that they beat a Porsche this or that in their GTV6 on a track day - almost pointless.

Still, fun to watch.

...also looks like a sequential box on the in-car video car... Likely not on Bob's 75 - maybe just Collotti H-patern...

they are driving in wet conditions where a rwd car is more difficult to drive hard...

there was a discussion about this race on the dutch forum where they explained this.

Engine is indeed normally aspirated 2.0 16v with about 290 bhp.
