Urgent answer please 147 Alfa GTA 3.2 Engine fit in an Alfa Verde?
Okay maybe I overdosed on something but I have an opportunity for one of these engines. Before I get divorced with my wife can someone please let me know if its possible? What mods if any?
Thanks

Long story short: yes it will fit.
Mods? There will be many. But ultimately, many have made this conversion. I'm not 100% sure, but there was a thread about the conversion either here on the 'BB or alfagtv6.com ...
Be sure to get a complete donor engine, including headers, as well as ALL the electronics (i.e. uncut wiring harness as well as all sensors, injectors, and the ECU)

Gee why am I not surprised Nizam to the rescue...How is that big "S" on your chest?
Good points....If I go through with this I may sell the 3.0 engine from my car but not sure it only got 71K and running perfect.
Thanks

need to convert transverse to normal layout,
you will need to use milano flywheel (re balanced) engine mounts, sump, oil pump pickup etc thats just for starters!
In case you are wondering, i have just fitted 24v to my 12v 75!

I'm at work, so my picture library isn't available to me right now. However, here's a 24v engine install into a GTV6. The installation procedure is largely the same with the 75/Milano. There is no external dimensional difference for the engine block of a 3.0 24v vs a 3.2 24v. This is why the conversion has been relatively painless for those of us with access to the equipment / tools for the conversion process.
Yes, it will cost you big $$$$$$ .... but the grin you will have will be even bigger!
Disclaimer: Divorce court fees have not been included in the cost estimates of this conversion

Reason: Added disclaimer for attorney fees

Nice picture thanks for the post and advice from all alfaholics.
You know at the end of the day we spend all this money and we all know its for us and there isn't anyway to recover these costs.
So I have a few questions:
How much would you pay for a low km 3.2 24v engine?
When you add how much this costs would it not be wiser to pick up say an Alfa monster SZ or was it ZS you know the Milano platform two door beast.
Because what makes me tick and why I bought a Milano to begin with its different! Yes you come to a light and there is no one with the same car as you. That to me is priceless! Now the engine is a drivers engine and the handling is fantastic! So you don't get that in American muscle with the exception of the newer vettes but for the dollar value I'll stick to my Alfa.
If I could only figure out a cure for Alfaholics I'd be rich.
Regards
VM

Since you are in Canada, why not just get an SZ?

"The Monster", like it was nicknamed by the press because of its extreme looks and amazing driving potential, is an unique car. It did just the trick: surprising people, getting attention and boosting Alfa Romeo's image. Most of the produced cars are still around and it's not hard to find one in Western Europe. Outside Europe on the other hand the SZ is extremely rare. Only in Japan there are more than a handful.

There is one in maybe in London or Toronto. I knew the owner since awhile ago when many of us here were on the alfa-digest.

And we don't get to see it as often as we'd like. Here it is in Detroit last summer,
