Hey Spence - what's going on in the first pic with the twin-plenum 24-valve? Do you have more pics of that install?

Hey Nizam! sweet looking job isn't it sorry folks, its the only picture i have and also information
It was sent to me when i announced that i was doing a 24v build....
All i know is that the engine is fitted to a 75, in Australia i don't know its output, cc etc. the picture originates from a national Alfa meet down under and is on their website (only picture tho)
Does anybody know who owns the car?

Nah, it can't be a car from down under. Look at the brake master cylinder, it has a hose going to the clutch master. The RHD cars have the clutch master on the opposite side, and has its own little reservoir

That pretty!! Anyhow no need to worry about the swap the engine got sold and the person selling wanted more for every extra part.
You can buy these cars from Europe but the cost of the Euro and shipping etc...Beyond my bank account.
Thanks for the help and nice pics!

Alfa-75-Man: read up on Jes Thyssen's 164S engine transplant into his Milano. The procedure is largely the same for the 24v. Nowadays, you may be able to pick up a 164LS for about as much money as one would want for just the engine. You could drive around the 164 for some time, then when you get bored of it, you could take apart the car, put the engine in your Verde and sell the rest to the 164 fans.

Nizam,
my 88 75 3.0 here in aus has the master cylinders on oposite sides of the bay, but they still use the same reservoir, the hose is just a bit longer. just thought id let you know.

Thank you! I appreciate that! I was just in Malaysia and poring over various (right hand drive) older Alfas over at my mechanic's shop over there, it was evident that at least the ones I looked at had the clutch master cylinder directly hooked up to the pedal box, and they had their own reservoir.
But your post prompted me to look at pics I had taken and sure enough, the 75's had the clutch fluid supplied by the brake master cylinder reservoir with a long hose.

Well I will be getting my bike licence soon and I think it will just prevent me from spending anymore time on an Alfa engine.
I use to have a 2.5 V6 looked for a 3.0 engine bought a complete car now started looking for bigger. SHEESH what a bad disease I have.
Alfoholics I need help.
Anyhow I think this will be it for me.
The three colours are dear to my heart being born in Italy having an Alfa then buying a Ducati sweet. When I'm not riding in my car I hope to be riding the bike. When I'm not on any of these;
I will ride my wife she too is Italian. Only thing is she dictates when and if it happens and if I keep buying toys I may have to buy an inflatable doll. similar to this face

You guys are forgetting one very important factor...
The GTA engine is the newer type v6 engine. this has a chaindriven oilpump for instance...
-The Milano/verde/gtv6 sump will not fit over it, you need to make your own sump.
-The flywheel from the GTA contains the toothed ring for the TDC sensor, this also needs to be used, so an adapter has to be made to fit the frontguibo to the GTA flywheel.
these are some points in which the GTA (and also the 166 3.0 for instance) engine differs from the 164 24v engine. this makes it harder to adapt to a 116 chassis. 164 24v engine is easiest.
search the alfagtv.com/bb for the 3.0 166 conversion, everything to know is in there.
