Lightbulb fuel vapour filter lines

hey guys does anyone know anything about the fuel vapour filter and where that vacuum line that goes into the cabin through the firewall actually goto? as ive given the filter the boot, i just want to know if i need that line for anything before i yank on it.

Are you referring to the charcoal canister that lives in front of the right front wheel? Why get rid of it? It's part of the evapourative emmissions and stops pressure build up in the fuel tank. They don't effect performance either.

Read Greg's article on the Bosch Motronic for the hose that go's into the cabbin. It should help out (I think ) Motronic

yep that would be the one. the reason im taking the thing out is that i have done an engine swap with a latter model 164 dohc motor, and im running throttle bodies.. so i.e. no PLENUM. so i don't have a use for it. ive done the fuel return from the after market fuel reg, and now it was just sitting there. i just wanted to know what or where that line goes to. i dont want to damage anything unnecessarily.
