AR Bay area Breakfast get together?
Hey,
( I originally posted this in the 164 forum.)
Anyone interested in a local get together (informal) for breakfast some weekend? One of the car clubs that I belong to, do this on a regular basis at the local IHOP, and it is great!)
I am in Sunnyvale. I know there are several of you close by....

Hum. Is anyone interested in all? I was going to organize something, but really, I need a show of hands if anyone is interested. If not, I will not bother.
Other car clubs do this quite regularly, and they are great, and it's fun seeing other peoples cars.

Hey Brett,
Remember me? Jess and I were at your old house in Milpitas before you sold off the blue Milano.
I'd be interested. I just put my rebuilt motor in my car and I need to accumulate some miles before I can really let her scream (only 88 miles on it now). This thing feels strong already, eventhough I can only go up to 3500 rpm.

Hey guys...get the detailes squared away in an "official" event thread and I'll make it a sticky (it's always at the top of the forum) until the even happens. Deal is, one of you's has to take a digital camera and take pictures for the BB.

Heh. Let's get the breakfast stuff down, and then we can worry about the "after". Some of us old farts need to sleep the breakfast off.

Of course I remember. And glad to hear your car is doing well. It seems we have a good amount of interest getting started.
What I would like to do, is try one of these, and if this works out, try to get it regular. (Say second Saturday of every month or such.)
If we get enough people the Local IHOP will set aside a back room for us, so no waiting for a table!

Sure! And no problem taking picures. I love to us my DSC, especially now that I have a fresh 128 meg card for it.
As above, I would like to get this to be a regular event, if it seems popular enough...

Sure no problem. I need to make a few calls, and get things set up, and it looks like it will be the weekend after the Monterey Weekend. I should be able to post the details this weekend.

Ok.
We are on for breakfast.
August 21s at 10 AM. The location is:
IHOP
5403 Stevens Creek Blvd
Santa Clara, CA 95051-7202
(408) 996-3393
Link to map:
http://ihop.know-where.com/ihop/cgi/...00651&address=
Try to get there a little before hand, and we can chat in the parking lot for a bit, before going inside.
We didn't get the main room, so, we may end up being split into a couple of groups. We'll have to see. (Someone else beat me to the room. For the whole Month!!!)
Hope to see you all there!

BTT -
I'll be there. Potenziato will bring his E46 M3. My wife will bring her Verde. 75Evo will bring his new hotted up Milano.
I won't be joining you guys in the breakfast room. I'll keep any roving hyenas away from the M3 with my trusty aluminum racing floorjack.

Excellent! Looking forward to seeing all of you, and your cars! I'll be bringing the camera....
Should be a good turnout.
