Milano guage cluster removal

I want to have the speedo out and tested, it's maxing out and the odo also is spinning. Got the side pods off, are the screws back behind the pods the ones to remove? There are four of them. I wanna ship everything to Palo Alto. Any other shop on the East Coast?

I'm not mad.

Three screws behind the ARC (remove ashtray, undo two screws, remove ARC display) and two screws behind hazard light switch (un-clip cover, undo two screws on back plate, undo two screws).

I think that's it.

This is covered in Group 66 manual on my site.

Also, pop out the strip with "Milano" and remove screws behind that.
You really should get a manual for the car. Or, visit Craig's site - he has everything there to downlaod!

I think there may also be a screw behind the little cash tray (inline with column) closest to door

Thanks especially to Craig, for his site. It's not that bad, the entire pod must come apart, very clever, those Italians. Onward to Palo Alto! Maybe now I'll tackle the heater motor for servicing, while things look the way they do, meaning apart. I love getting into the guts of these things. Clever, very very clever.

Good idea re the heater . I took mine apart last year. filled with 20 years of crushed leaves, junk, etc. Definitly a fire hazard. Works like new, now!

Do you have to physically remove the dash to get at the heater apparatus?

Not 100 % sure as I did not do it myself, however, my mechanic did remove the dash.

Ouch. I'll be looking into a shortcut to service the Milano fan motor. It looks similar to the GTV-6 motor, which is a surprise, two tredmills surrounding the motor. It's just a more enclosed design, which makes it quieter. I painted the 'Milano' insignia with gold paint and it looks sharp.

Well since I have never seen a Milano heater fan it's a bit silly me answering but as no one else is:

I have been told (often) the the Milano (heater) fan is different to the 75 fan and that it can be removed without pulling the dash. It is accessed through the footwell (LHS I think).

I'll be getting into this fan soon. It looks like a similar fan to the GTV, and Craig, thanks for everything. I sent my son a copy with the key sheet, it really helps.

Craig is once again correct, the US Milano only has one treadmill and it can be pulled out from the driver's side with out removing the dash. Pulling the Dash is not really hard, just time consuming, I had to do it once due to the leaf fire caused by the fan resistor.
