It'd have to be an Alfa Romeo 50, because it's only 2/3s of a 75

As always I'm late to the party. Here are some pics of my stock '88 Verde.
Some day I would like to find a "wrecked" 3.0L that can be resurrected and install the IMSA 2 body kit like the one on alfaspence's neat looking example.

Thanks for the kind words about the Verde guys. It's not always that clean...just pulled her out and did some dusting off and cleaning and it was a pretty good day to take some pics.

Is that a KL special, or a car from another country? Do you know the specs on that bad boy?

Better Late Than Never To The Party
Finally figured out how to upload pics... Here's my 87 Milano. It serves as a track car, and daily driver commuter (big commute - 4mi). Bought with the intent of having a super clean sedan, the slippery slope has resulted in the following:
Engine: 2.5 litre with S cams
Transaxle: 4.10 lsd
Brakes: Group 2 Motorsports/Girodisc four corner braking system, full floating aluminum hat centered ventilated rotors at all corners, Ferodo DS2500 rear pads, Wilwood E Type compound fronts
Suspension: Work in progress. So far RS Racing front 30mm bar, RS Racing rear watts link, RS Racing 65kg rear springs and perches, Bilstiens, 22mm torsion bars (too soft...)
Wheels and Tyres:Team Dynamics Pro Rally 15x7 ET 38, Falken Azenis RT615 205/50-15
Safety: Group 2 Motorsports fabricated four point roll bar, Corbeau fixed position seats, floors modified to lower seat (6'2" driver) Sparco 5 point harnesses
Body: Ron Simons sourced carbon fiber two panel adjustable rear wing, front airdam/splitter thingie, various door dings, cone scuffs, strategically placed go fast stickers, ect.
Spouse: Not impressed overall, wonders what the heck happened to the backseat, hates the front seats, hates the ride, noise, smell, ect. Tolerates current situation, but requires a "nice clean sedan" to ride in. HMMM...looking at a 190E Mercedes 2.3 16V...promise I won't take it to the track either...

Nice car. I'll bet you have a blast with that Milano on the track. Nice looking wheels too, do they rub anywhere? BTW: What is the yellow racer # 18 in the background?

How is it with the rear springs and 30mm sway bar? Did you re-enforce the sway bar mounts?
Those wheels are pretty cool, I didn't know G2 carried them!

There is no rubbing at all with the wheels. One can fit a slightly more agressive offset wheel on these cars, but not at a really low height without snagging the fenders in the front under full compression in a turn.
We are a stocking distributor for Team Dynamics. I really like the PRO RALLY wheel because it is so different than most, and is strong for abuse at the track.
The front swaybar mount is reinforced. When I purchased the car there was evidence of repair from the Shankle bar tearing at the mounts. We went in with some plates and reinforced everything. Overall the ride is good, albiet soft in the front with the 22mm torsion bars, and not enough dampening in the car overall with the Bilstiens. When I really push the car, I get more body roll than desired, and a little more weight transition under braking.
The ontrack pic is pre RS springs, and obviously pre wing (anyone need a ride to the airport?) and splitter. The black wheels were 15x7 ET32 STILAUTO, and would catch the fender (oops!) so off they came.
The yellow racer is one of our customers who vintage races here in Seattle. It is a 65 if I recall correctly, as it is a front disc brake car. Very nicely prepared, and a pleasure to watch race.

So is the wing and splitter just for fun, or what?

Fun, yes. I now have to keep my doors locked at intersections because beautiful women keep hopping in the car.
I saw this wing on Ron Simon's demo car at the Ring back in 06 on our Germany trip, thought I would be a lot cooler if I had one, (TBD) and drove his demo car for a few laps. The difference was noticable.
There is certainly some aero to be gained, and the back of the car is a lot more stable at 60+mph. It really helps keep the rear planted in the high speed corners. It is a fantastic way to increase your carbon footprint as well. I found I was getting way too good gas milage without it.
