tranasxle swap info request ts, gtv6,fetta,milano
id like to put the confusion in my head to rest
i understand the gear ratios and the shifter changes but what other changes should i be aware of between TS box, platinum box, gtv6 box, alfetta box
ive heard the TS has the best gear ratio's (but someone said weak like a fetta)
platinums obviously have the LSD(but ive heard have bigger bearings as well?)
alfetta's (weak somewhere?)
gtv6 "simple" shift setup
anyone care to do me a FULL rundown on what to avoid whats ideal ect ect ect
i understand the shift input can be swaped out fairly easy and the axle outputs again fairly simple

Download the gearbox manual from my site, it has tables giving this info.
The TS gearbox is the same as the platinum, same ratios, same gears, same bearings, same 4.1 four pinion lsd.
Edit, I don't promise to end your confusion

Gear Ratios in transaxle cars
The best overall ratios are in the Alfetta. Worst in the GTV6 (3.5 / 1.96 /1,23/ .95/ .76
Building a Verde box with Alfetta gears results in a wonderful set of ratios for both acceleration, and decent fuel economy, in a very durable case. It does require some machining but the results are very good.
Gear Comparisons for 116 Transaxles
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
Verde 3.54 Rat/overall 2.87/10.18 1.72/6.11 1.23/4.36 .95/3.25 .76/2.69
Economy/Emission tall gears
Alfetta Stock 4.1 R&P 3.30/13.53 2.00/8.20 1.34/5.49 1.03/4.22 .83/3.40
Better performance for 4 cyl or V6 Can be built in Plat. Case with mods.
Alfetta/Verde3.54 R&P 3.30/11.71 2.00/7.10 1.34/4.76 1.03/3.60 .83/2.94
More performance in lower gears, fuel economy about same as stock Verde in 5th Requires mods
Alfetta with 3.54 R&P 3.30/11.71 2.00/7.10 1.34/4.76 1.03/3.60 .95/3.25
More performance and better driveability with custom built 5th

What an arsehole! The man is asking NICELY for answers pertaining to the differences between the inputs/outputs on a conventional US-spec Milano box, versus a European spec 75 TS box!
The least that you can do (if you don't know the correct answer), is to be nice about it!

Speed sensors
Well, we know JJ dosn`t know! He just stopped by to name call!
If the GTV6 has a non-gear driven sensor it will read the front of the pinion shaft`s splines. If not it won`t.....
How`s that JJ ?

In addition to the shift/selector-input, the clutch/slave-input also appears to be different. Anyone care to comment...?
