Milano vs Honda

I have a 1989 2.5 Milano can i beat my friends 1994 1.6 Honda civic si vtech in a drag race. Both cars are stock with only cone style air intakes on them. His car also has this giant sub box in it. Im pretty sure i can smoke him but want to make sure cause i wont hear the end of it if i dont! His car red lines at 8 grand or something around that.

theres about half a second in it (STD 0-60 times) if you want to win, you MUST get a good start off the line!

traction, reaction time, and driver tire control and shifting will be where the race is won i think

assuming your milano is manual, thats where the big v6 should come into its stride... ie rolling start, more torque greater pull....
don't waste your time revving to the limiter tho, with a roller, the only advantage he has is revs, make your higher torque output count!!!
