Way to go Jes.
After finally driving CChan's GTV6 on the street after the big build, I am convinced that we should change your RSR setup for the street from 125 up front to 100kgs and from 70 down to 50kg at the rear - keep the stock torsion bars!
I am going to drop my street Verde's rates the same way (and I even think that I may remove the 27+mm torsion bars and just go back to stock Verde bars!) PLENTY for the street...

So, I'm a bit curious now...
With Roxanne, and the 3.2 liter car, and maybe another 3.7 liter car....that's like 3 track Milanos right? Will you be selling one perhaps
The rear aftermarket springs are way easy to space with a Kragen's spring spacer to get whatever ride height you want. Or, if you lost your Roxanne springs, I have some OEM rear springs if you want them.

Hey - you joke like that! - A spec. Milano series is a GREAT idea and I have been chewing on it for quite a while now!
The BMW nuts up here started a low budget spec-grid based on the mid-'80s E30 325i as their base car for the series called Pro 3. (I hear that there is a similar grid back East as well!) It runs a stock motor and it is very popular because of how closely-matched the cars are and because of the relatively low budget!
They run closed, stock engines, but they are permitted to do a UniChip piggy-back engine management system, headers and exhaust; that's about it for power! Full roll cages, (2 and 4 door cars allowed), sun-roofs welded shut (but you can base your build on a 318i without a sunroof if you put the 6 cylinder in) and then full cages.
They run full-race interiors, but with a stock dash though (Group 2 has built several of these cars now...) They run standard brakes (but with upgraded pads), suspension mods are pretty open but limited to the stock mounting points, (they do make the mods up top at the strut-tower to allow for camber-changes) and then they run standard 15" wheels and tires.
All of the cars are virtually identical and the drivers have to really buff their driving-skills! Last year the grid had something like 18 cars and this year they have 31, so it is becoming VERY popular!
What got me thinking was how close these cars are generationally to the Milanos! (Even dreaming of an Alfa/BMW mixed grid - would THAT not be a HOOT!) They were both produced in the mid to late '80s. Both ran 6 cylinder 2.5 litre 12 valve engines with L-Jet ignition! Both weigh about the same and put out around 155 horsepower stock.
Suspension-wise they were very different and that is where the idea becomes interesting to me. The following is also very different and yet the same (I have SEVERAL Alfa buddies who also run the Pro 3 series!)
Can you imagine!? The base Milano 2.5 motors (as with the BMW 325 engines) are plentiful and when properly serviced - bullet-proof!) I think I'll start a separate thread...

Sweet Verde!
That's the same car/same color that got ME started! Looks like the previous owner took very good care of this vehicle. Not even the typical scratches on the bumper corners - paint looks excellent for S. Cal. (Red doesn't handle the sun too well & esp. the grey trim). I noticed she's wearing the Platinum style rims. No biggie, but I'd lose 'em.
...sure miss that car
Do you mind telling us how much she set you back jes?

Thanks. Yeah, I like the phone dial wheels better. Though, those wheels should be stock wheels on a vintage 87 Verde. Regardless, a set of my 17" TD Pro Race I wheels will go on there as soon as I get some street tires on.

The platinum rims are correct for early 1987 Verdes. My 87 had those rims. I think all four were bent too.
Your wife must be ready to kill you!!!! Come on AR4me, you need an 89 Verde so you have a matching set.

Were these known to be/have a problem?

Like inherent weakness?? I was thinking about using a set on my GTV6, perhaps I'll reconsider.

Arguably a lot softer and prone to buckling and bending.
Actually no take out the arguably, they are. I hit a gutter at about 30km/h and completely destroyed one of my wheels - whilst it wasn't meant to be taking the impact, you'd expect it to last a little better.
More to do with the material of the wheel, I personally like them over the others though...*shrugs*

Yikes, thanks for the warning. I hadn't come across this fact in my Alfa reading.
Back On Topic (Sorry).....The car looks great! I'm constantly jealous of the California set as the Alfa's are legitimate daily drivers out there! Even if I could convince myself that a Milano would be practical and manageable in the NE winter, I'd feel terrible about subjecting one to the snow and subsequent road salt.

Actually - Milano's do great in the snow and ice! A good set of studless snow tires combined with the platinum LSD is amazing in the slippery stuff. Better than many frount wheel drive cars I've driven. But - you have a good point about the salt and rust issues! I guess thats why mine despritly needs the rear wheel arches replaced!!!
