RSR Suspension

I just bought an RSR kit. It's easy to install. But is there anyone of you who has an step through step information on how to do it with ride height and so on?

My dad installed one in our shop a couple months ago. I have not had a chance to write down step by step instructions nor do I plan on it (I do have an article on torsion bar adjustment on my site). It's really a pretty easy installtion. The hard part, and probably the one most people skip is replacing all the suspension bushings so you get the most out of the RSR kit. The other hard part is setting the torsion bars for ride height. You need to do that before you install the RSR kit.

What did the full kit run? I'm real interested in taking the plunge.

I suppose that depends on where in the world you are, and what the current exchange rates are. The last time I bought one was about 6 weeks ago and it was $2025.

Greg Gordon,

I have a complete description of the RSR kit on that site's performance page.

That would be about right. I'm in California.

I think it also depends on what you consider the _full_ kit! It'll probably buy you the 4 shocks+springs and the front sway bar+endlinks, but I don't think you'll get the rear Watts, the rear adjustable sway bar, the front dedion spherical bushing, and what else I forgot. Though, the 4 corners and the front sway bar is probably a good start.

That's exactly right. The $2025 price I mentioned is for the coil over conversion kit. It includes coil springs, shocks, and all the needed mounting hardware for all four corners. There is an adjustable shock option from RSR that adds a lot to the price. Additionally there are other options, various anti-sway bars, heim joined Watts linkage and a lot more. I didn't include those items in that price because there are just too many possible combinations to list a price for everything, especially when you consider the anti-sway bars and other items could come from sources other than RSR.
