An MY87 Milano Silver Revived

Well, fellow Alfisti we did it. We finally kissed sleeping beauty and after almost 7 years in a deep sleep we revived her. She is a 87 Milano Silver that was my daughter's car, now my friends. That old bent valve trick shut her up in 1997 and both families were overcome by events (OBE) until this month so it just sat in garage. She became a hangar queen and was backrobbed to keep my bud's blue Gold and my red Gold and his son in law's long gone Gold running. So even in sleep she was a big help.

We had a long three day weekend for ML King so we had a AROC MAARC chapter 3-day+ tech session with about 12 guys first day but crowd dwindled as the weekend wore on. Yesterday we drove car to inspection station for new sticker. Still have some fly gripes to work off like blower motor seized on way back and driveshaft needs new donuts but she goes like an Alfa should and only has 69,999 on odometer.

Have to fix rear tail light circuits boards too as we used my good ones from my Gold to pass inspection. Sure nice to have plug and play parts from a runner when you need them.

We gave her fresh rebuilt heads, timing belt, hoses and belts and new used fuel tank (good to have friends in chapter with spare parts).

Installed all parts that were robbed off of her like fuel pump, master cylinder, brake proportioning valve, driver's window regulator, door handles, coolant tank, side marker light, ECU, AFM, Coil, distributor, ignition E-Z ECU, injection relay, and misc bits and pieces.

So in closing let me say the local chapter of Alfa Rescue Society saved another one and she is worth it too.
