removal of door window deflector things..

last night a friends staffy jumped in and out of my 75 a couple times [judging by the amount of scratches] after i left my window down. well he's broken the wind deflector and itll need to come off but how does it come off.. iv had a brief look but didnt find anything.

G'Day Jazig,

Remove the rubber window surround and you will find three screws, two on top and one at the front corner.

Remove these then pull the wind deflector directly away from the car.

hi thanks for the reply.
after taking out the window seal its got no screws and looks like it doesnt come out, and also it is what holds the window seal. i think its stuck on with there but not sure how... i was hoping to just remove it and leave them off the car but the seal wouldnt sit in and stay if i did that. any idea?

Ok, no screws.

Looking again, the aluminium trim holding the perspex has a small slot at the front and some double sided tape at the rear (must have been cheaper than screws).

So it just pulls out except for the tape.

The aluminium trim sits above the position for the window rubber so the rubber will stay in without the trim.

If you want it to look reasonable, you will have to remove the perspex from the aluminium trim and them replace the trim on the door.
