Just Bought My First Milano
Hi,
I Just bought my first Milano . Its an 87 Platinum. The interior is in good condition. The Paint could use to be redone and I think it needs a new starter although it was only 10 degress when i was trying to start it.

Congratulations!!! I am on my 2nd Milano now. Are you handy with a wrench ? They are a blast to drive and the engine, provided you keep up with it, is pretty bullet proof. What are your plans for the car?

Congrats Bob! What's the rust condition of the car? Uh, just noticed the rear - looks like you need to get the welder out. Should be fun, though

At least that section is easy to get to - pop out the brake lights, take off the numberplate thing and off you go.
Have fun with it, it's addictive, I know I enjoy all three here!

Hi hughqv,
yep its a 2.5 platinum.
Hi Jes,
There is some rust on the lip of the rear wheel well, the previous owner put POR-15 on it but this should still be taken care of. There is also some rust by the right tail light. It appears to all be superficial but you never know.
I'm frustrated because i bought this car only 2 days ago and I have to leave on a business trip for 7 days and won't get to tinker with her over the weekend.
thanks for all the nice comments,
Bob

Hey Bob,
Congrats on the new purchase... It seems lots of new Alfas are turning up in people's stables lately.
Is this the Milano that Bruce of Fiat Parts was selling?
If so, That is a great car!!! BUT It hasnt been run or used in years due to clutch issues... Just be careful with that T-Belt.
Congrats again!!!
Cheers
Martin

Hi Martin,
Yep its the one Bruce was selling.
I'll make sure to change the timing belt before driving it. I think the belt has only 15k miles on it but you're right that its sitting for a few years and that would worry me.
Sending you a pm...
Bob
