Door Mirror Glass Removal

While the car is sitting I thought that I would tackle some little things. I was wondering how to get the glass out of the door mirrors on a Verde. I know someone had a post on here, but the pictures do not show up and I am stumped. I thought that if i could get them out I could rig up some anti-rattle device that does not require the simple, "Jam some foam in there." technique.

I'll replace the photo/s when I get home tonight (if I remember).

Here is my version of the fix. Take the screw out of the pivot, find a washer to fit over the flat surface of the pivot and put a rubber gromet throught the hole. put the screw through the gromet and back into the pivot. Then I used 3M body trim adhiesive to the mirror for a little extra insurance. It worked out great except for the passenger side that still needs a little help because somewhere along the way it had broken and repaired with super glue. I need new mirror glass on that side anyway because the reflective stuff has been etched away. All in all it is a lot better than it was and I happy with the results.
