Intercooled Dyno results

Today we dynoed a supercharged, intercooled Verde. It has SDS fuel injection (no air flow meter, fully adjustable everything, gets rid of the distributor etc. etc.) as well as water/methanol injection. The engine itself is 100% stock from the throttle body to the intact converter.

I will get the dyno chart up soon.

The short version is this:

Actual rear wheel horsepower 276
Actual Rear Wheel Torque 260

Corrected rear wheel horsepower 265
Corrected rear wheel torque 249

Torque at 2500RPM 230

This car is really fast!

Greg you're just teasing those who live 2000 kms away from you.

Those are amazing results, thats pretty much...or better than what a stock WRX STI has. Thats awesome. I want one

How long do you believe the Verde transaxle will hold up if shifted 'nicely'?

Off topic: Is the SDS working as well as planned on the verde?

Thanks everyone,
Don: I would feel pretty comfy drag racing a STI or Evo with this car. I don't know if it would win, but it's a least in the ball park. I think the Verde transaxle will be ok if it's cared for, but we are probably near the limits.

The SDS fuel injection system is working perfectly. It's the smoothest running Alfa I have ever been in. I just can't say enough nice things about it. The only drawback is the installation time. Tuning it is super easy. In fact there is probably a little more power to be had via tuning but we plan to leave it the way it is.

Fedezyl: We did take a video, I don't know if it came out or not yet.

Jes: Thanks!

Greg,

With that much power and torque, the 3.54 gearing should be great as 2nd gear will take all the way to >70 mph. Saves time on shifting.

We hit about 75mph in second, from there it gets to 100 so fast it's scary. The Verde gearing is perfect with this car.

That just makes things harder on me, I was not long ago leaning heavily towards installing the platinum tranny I pulled out of the milano that kevin Redden ,Russ, and I stipped,(which was a pain in the ... I may add.
Now I'm considering just refreshing my verde tranny.

(Junglejustice) where are you? I'll need your buddy down in Texas to redo my tranny. and sorry I missed your phone calls I've been in the Dominican Republic

With this combo I would suggest the Verde gearbox. The 4.10 box will probably just give you a lot more tire smoke unless you plan to tub it with a big pair of slicks in the back.
