1988 Milano Verde Color codes

Hi Listers:
I am a brand new Milano Verde owner, and I have the silver metallic color. Rumor has it that there were only three or four colors of Milano Verdes out there. I am trying to match the color code to purchase some paintscratch touch-up paint. If anyone might know the code they can save me the trip home to look for the paint code. thanks
Andy

The verde only came in red, black, and anthracite (grey metallic) in the US - there never was a silver verde (in the US). Your car should have the paint code sticker at the underside of the trunk lid.

I have never found an "off the shelf" touch up paint that's an exact match for the Anthracite color, but have made a decent touch up bottle by mixing a darker grey with a light metallic silver.

If anyone has an exact match, please post it here.

Joe

exact match

Hi, I agree, but I have been VERY pleased with paintscratch.com thus far as they matched the Alfa Red for the 88 Spider very well, (not to mention the white for my 1993 Mazda Miata).
I think that the Anthracite color, by its nature, is difficult to match! Too many variables!
Cheers
Andy

Thanks for the tip on paintscratch.com. They do list the correct Antracite and Black under the 1988 model year if you use their search database, but not under the 1987 or 1989 model year.

For the record, here are the Verde color codes:

Anthracite: AR776 Grigio Medio Metallico (Doppio Strato)
Black: AR913 Nero (Doppio Strato)
Red: AR555 (?) Alfa Rosso

555 is a red usually used on 75 series 1 from 85 to 88. So I'm not surprised to see it on exported Milanos.

It was then superseded by Alfa red 130 (doppio strato).

EDit : as concerning the blacks I only know about 601 & 602 (602 is met.)
