75-1.8TB first start

Another of my 1.8 TURBO has started.
The turbo tube's leakage leads the smoking.

They're REALLY into 75's there. I saw many nice, clean examples in the Taipei area. A couple thought it was awesome I had a 3.0, I think they mentioned the V6's are rare there.

Wow. That was a lot of work! Where did you get all the parts? I didn't think they imported 1.8Turbo's into Taiwan right? Just the normally aspirated 1.8 carbed, and the 2.0 TSparks.

I could be wrong ...

There are few 75tb in taiwan.
We waste too much time on this 75tb because of the serious rust of turbo kit and car steel body.
We tried to find out a cheap and suitable turbo for a long time.
We found three used 75 turbo boby but all broken inside.
We think it seems there are some problems existed of 75 origenal turbo, so we found a new version GARRETT AR48 trubo.

Only 2.0Tspark.1.8Ie.milano2.5Gold(all ATM)..and few 1.8cab
2.0 TS is our most favorite. That's a excellent 75.
We are used to exchang ALFA 90 transmission on milano2.5. Gold. (3.55 Final ratio)or 2.0ts transmission(4.1 with LSD)
Same as my milano and I add a 2.0LSD on it.
There are no 3.0L milano .We put alfa164 3.0L engine on milano 2.5.

All original 75 turbo units crack around the wastegate arm/seat and I have yet to see a manifold that isn't cracked. I think it's due to the useless anti-knock system that retards the ignition, this leads to VERY high exhaust temps.

I heard the Evoluzione manifold is the only one which doesn't crack but it's rare... and expensive.

Cracks on the turbo itself usually don't affect performance (high temp. seals them).

That's great!

Hi, I am so surprised your car. There are a few 1.8TB in Japan. But no one knows how to repair it.
You had a lot of work in Taiwan. Are there any parts shop in Taiwan?
I am interested in the car in Taiwan. Anyway, good luck!
