New Weld-In Floor-Pans?

Has anybody sourced new replacement floor-pans (like they sell for the earlier cars), for a Milano/75 yet? The ones in my street-car can use 'em - also need replacement jack-points!

LOL. I could use them both! Seriously though. I took up the carpet and the driver side front floor and LF jackpoint pretty much just fell off leaving a hole you could put one foot through. I did take it to a few body shops and they told me it wasn't a big deal. If they were going to fix it they suggested riveting new metal in.

I just glassed the hole.

The factory jackpoints SUCK. There are many cars running around without them. I just use the subframe to jack up the car, no big deal.

That's a bummer. California Milanos never seem to have that issue. Our GTV-6 though, must not be a cali car. The jack seems to keep pushing up and up until the car finally lifts off of the ground!

I have never seen a 75/Milano replacement panel. The RACE SAE car was from MA and needed exactly what you suggested. We had a local shop weld in metal and fab jack points bars. Rust is not a problem with Texas cars either.

If someone is the past jacked up the car incorrectly or just age, the jack point may move a little like Grant has experienced. Usually on of the front ones. I have taken a 2x4 piece of wood, pulled back the carpet and using the BFH straightened the floor panel. Now the jack pint is back to where is should be and the floor is now like its supposed to be. The problem also happened on 164's and VW's.

...when the time comes we'll just weld-in new sheet-metal...

I'm going to be doing an engine rebuild/transplant soon (this summer probably), paint the engine bay, clean some things up and paint the whole car - that would be the time to do all of this too!

$$$ and time...

Sometimes one has to know the right times and proepr use of the the BFH and the Swiss Screwdriver.
