The Reatta switch is functionally the same, just a different connector. Search for a posting from me last summer where I posted the pinout differences between the Milano switch and the Reatta switch. You have to go to the junkyard to find a suitable GM wiring harness connector to cut off and splice in to the Milano's harness.

Maybe someone can help the guy out with a good used pressure switch with the right connector? I'm offering a Reatta switch but it looks like it might be a pain to install. The offer still stands though.

With Jason's pin connections, mapping the Milano harness to the Regatta switch, it is literally a 5 min job to put in the Regatta switch! Temporarily just crimp on some wire-ends to connect the Milano harness to the Regatta switch. If that does the trick you can go hunt for a Regatta plug, and splice it into the Milano harness.

It's raining so I haven't ran the diagnostic procedure yet, I assume you have
to test with the connector hooked to the pressure switch, which means I have to somehow poke a hole in the wire to test the voltage right? If the switch is bad I will need a replacement stay tuned I will email you for it.

OK I ran the diagnostic procedure, I think both the pressure switch and my ABS pump relay are bad.

The voltage on pin 4 on the pressure switch is 12v, which can't be as I don't think I have brake assist. However, the strang thing is even if I manually ground it, on relay I40 the pump power still doesn't turn on.

I was able to verify that the pump will run manually. My fluid level is low so I will try top it off and see if anything changes.

In the mean time, I will be looking for 1) a pressure switch (either alfa or buick I guess?) 2) relay 3) a connector for splicing if I get the buick switch?

loach1 you said you have a Buick switch? can you email me at sgmhz @ syndico.com ? Thanks

And where would I find a replacement relay?

Are you sure? My understanding is that it is just a matter of a different plug and pin ordering. I recall reading of the mapping from the Milano pins to the Regatta pins somewhere. Though, I never tried the Regatta switch, as I have always had a spare Milano switch kicking around.

I thought that was a major difference, but if you have used the switch that's good news. I just hate to be the guinea pig and find out something does not work.

There are lots of relays on the Milano ABS system. If it has the standard pin configuration then a standard Bosch type relay can be used - available at almost any auto parts store. Trouble shooting the ABS system is a pain.

OK I got the relay fixed. I just bought a radio shack 4-pin sdst 30 amp relay. The pin configuration on the Alfa ABS pump relay is different, but you can swap the wires in the relay socket to make the pin configuration match the new relay. Just be careful there are small plastic tabs that holds the wire "blade sockets" in place don't break them.

My pressure switch is definitely bad. loach1 has graciously offered me a Buick switch, I will try it out and let you all know.

The wiring connection on my alfa is a mess. Everytime I take the relay panel out and push it back in (to access the abs relays behind it), something stops working.

sgmhz - where are the abs relays located and how do you access them? Did the pressure switch fix the problem? Thank you! Here's your post from October 2006 - I'm trying to diagnose an ABS pressure problem:
