Question Need AROC National Convention Comp. Seatbelts

I read their little book and it says since I have a rollbar I have to have fancy seatbelts. I have stock seats in the Milano so do the shoulder straps just go over or what? How easy is this to do? Can any of you that have done this tell me what kind of seatbelts you used (links would be great) and if it was OK at AROC official track stuff?

That is very interesting- never caught that before... I'll have to talk to Russ Neely to see if that is what is intended...

Anyway, most 5 or 6 point harnesess that are available will do just fine. Your roll bar should have a horizontal bar across it to mount a harness on it.

one note- do NOT get a 4 point harness, they are not allowed at any AROC event.

Two mounting locations for the crotch belt instead of one.

I like them since they seem easier to mount- I mount it under the front seat mounts, and don't have to drill a hole in the floor.

The difference between a 5 and 6 point seatbelt is the number of crotch straps. Usually 6 point are used for formula/open wheel cars. In your car, mount the should straps on the cross bar behind the drivers seat, the lap belts in the factory mounting holes, and then add the crotch strap to the car under the seat. Make sure you get the wrap around mounted seat belts, other wise your belts will come with permently attached mounting hardware. Also follow the instruction about using the wrap type belts with hardware.
