Where is the ABS pump relay?

My ABS pump does not have power. Also, my brake warning light does not
come on even though the pressure is low. (The light comes on during self
check then goes off, even though I have lost brake assist)

I am trying to find the ABS pump relay. According to the wiring diagram, it
is somewhere either next to the brake pedal, or somewhere next to
the front driver fender / firewall. But I can not seem to find it.

Anybody know where it is? I hope I don't have to take the whole dash
out to find it.

i believe its either behind the fuse box, or behing the little poket on the left side of the dash its around those areas

Relays are behind the fusebox. Pull out the fuse box (30 sec) and you should see some relays. Also, you have a fuse for the ABS pump in the engine bay, mounted on the fender in the vicinity of the ABS pump - trace the power wire (connects at the lower part of the ABS pump assembly right at the battery) running to the ABS pump.

As AR4ME said if you open the fuse panel door then lift up on the fuse panel. You should be able to pull it out carefully it. Then you should see 3 relays the one you want is a Siamens or something that begins with an S. The other two are standard Bosch. There is a fuse with each relay at the connector. Also if you see only two or less relays someone probably was already there, look under the kick panel by the pedals. The non Bosch relay is pretty expensive at about $30 but if its your problem you might be able to find one at a Ford dealership. The SC Thunderbird used the Teves 3 Abs. I spent the better of 8hrs trouble shooting my problem. I hope this makes since I’ve been up over 24hrs now. Good luck

Thanks everyone for helping out. I can't belive I got so much info in a matter
of hours.

I have taken out the relay panel, and seen the row of 4 relays now.

However, while diagnosing my problem, I seem to have caused a bigger one now. At this point, once I turn the key on, non of the lights on ARC
turn on. The warning lights (seat belt, abs, etc) turns on, but the brake, oil
level, etc (all little lights) non of them turns on. This is just after pulling
out the relay panel.

As a result when I start the car (fuel pump runs), it catches for half a second
and then dies.

I am not sure if the 2 events are related, and I am not understanding the theory of operation here. Is the ARC related to engine starting? I must have
disturbed something when pulling the panel and wires to expose the ABS relays.

Anyone can give me some more pointers?

make sure non of the wires came loose behing the fuse box

Yeah, check for loose wires. Also check connectors in that area, verify fuses (both on fuse panel and the ones associated with the separate row of relays). Finally note the ground point even further back - kind of behind and a tad up from the row of separate relays - follow the black wires back there. If there is still no life, try wiggle the wires.

No, the ARC is not related to the engine starting, running, etc. Whatever was disturbed probably serves both circuits.

Fuses #2 and #7 supply power for the FI system. Check those circuits first.
