Milano Exhaust
Last nighton my way to some go kart racing at www.dromo1.com, I bottomed out the rear of the Milano while carrying two passengers in the rear and full tank of gas. I did not think much of it. When we were leaving, i noticed my tip was sagging a little more than it should be. I touched it and it had more play than usual so I figured one of the rubber mffler hangers had fallen off. When I pulled out of the parking lot i noticed the car had no power all the way to Hooters. When I got out of the car, I noticed it was almost dragging on the ground. What happened is that the pipe coming out of the rear muffler had collapsed and was blocking the opening. I tore the pipe off, yes it was hot. When we left, I fired it up and it was loud. On the freeway everyone with me got a huge headache because they car had pretty much an open exhaust. After the catylitic converter I have a straight pipe going to this rear muffler which now has all the stuff inside shooting out of the big opening. Today, I took Sniady for a ride and it was even louder because the muffler is now empty. When I got home I took a peek under the car and notice that the sway bar mount is broken too on that side.
So, after I fix the sway bar mount tomorrow, I will install a Magnaflow muffler in the rear.
Just tought I'd share my experience with my Milano. i'll post pics of how the car is at the moment and how I fix it.

Sounds like a Ferrari (really!). I think they all had headaches, because of all the carbon monoxide in the cabin, it gave me a headache and we just went around the block.

Hold it. Magnaflow for Milano? Where? (Just curious)..
Sucks though, I've bottomed out backing out of my driveway and it scares the #%^# out of me because ripping the exhaust system off isn't cool!

My Ansa was ripped off about a month ago by some railroad tracks... I'm just waiting for the money to do a full system either straight back or out the side. It does sound like a Ferrari though, I get lots of looks while Im driving

here is the fixed sway bar mount. when i removed the broken one it looked as thought it had broken in the past and was welded up at the break point. the persons weld did not hold up well, that's where it broke! this good used one should last a while.....i hope!

Anthony,
From the look of that bushing on the swaybar, you probably should have replaced it too.
