Great video Grant!
Although, I would like to see how that drift looks from the outside.

As an owner, I'm interested in hearing some more details what people say about the TS. Not enough power? Lacking two cylinders?

Reallllly? I can trial brake my Milano (yellow konis, red IAP springs, fancy pads, ss lines, drilled rotors) without any lockup.
Actually, in owning the car almost five years and having autocrossed it a good bit (and a lot of on street fun) I can safely say I have NEVER locked up the brakes.

There seems to be a lot of variation between the Milano's..I say its easy to drift (from experiences..heh) and others say its extremely hard

My Milano Gold had a better brake bias, and I COULD trail brake it. The ABS Verde has a different feel and doesn't seem to work as well. I need to get ABS fixed.
Never locked up your brakes? Is there something wrong with them?

What's your definition of drifting? I mean, the car seems to be pretty OK at powersliding, but entering a turn already oversteering is pretty hard on this car because there isn't much steering lock and the rear mounted tranny is a bear to bring back under you if you pitch it too hard. Linking turns is also hard because the high polar moment makes the car take FOREVER to change directions and slide into the next turn...for me atleast. And unless you're in the rain, I don't have enough power to slide in second gear even, as the gearing is really long (which keeps me out of the power band) and there's a lot of weight on those rear tires, (rear tranny I guess?) compared to some light japanese beater car, so it's really hard to keep the tires spinning unless I abuse the clutch/drivetrain with a clutch kick.
About the TS,
I just meant there couldn't be much torque or power. A 2.5 V6 is slow already, I can only imagine what a 4 banger would be like. I've never driven one, tell me about how it drives?
About the car in the video I posted, is the engine stock power output? What kind of suspension set up? It looked really nimble!

I have never locked up the brakes on either my Milano or our GTV6. And there have been many instances where I pressed the brake pedal with all my might.
edit: I can also trail brake our GTV6 without a problem.

O interesting...what about in the rain? On the gold, I could only lock them up going under about 30MPH.....is your pedal REDICULOUSLY heavy on your non-abs milano too??

Power sliding would be my usual take at it. And your correct on all of your points, it is hard on the car for sure. I have drifted corners on dry, but only once or twice, and I didnt like the sounds my car decided to make . I think the body roll and the weight on the rear wheels do in fact make it harder to drift than a japanese (or even a bmw!) beater. I also stand by my point of it being better to drift with an actual weight bias, so you know whats going to happen to your car if you lose control.

Pedal on the GTV6 is ridiculously heavy, milano pedal is actually a bit soft.

mine will lock up the back first (ABS system with a fault so no ABS)
and lock up all 4 is easy even with the abs pump off (I have a few cars with out power breaks so I have the power in my legs)
The front/back lock up seem to change with which pads and how tight you set up the back. And if there is any air in the system.
In first if I just let up on the gas and hit it hard the tires will light up.(bad wheel hop if not in a turn) if I am turning even a small bit then it is a nice power slide.
I did not know I was doing this at first but everyone tells me that I am drifting on a lot of the turns on the street as they tell me I am sideways on the turns. but I think I only do on the first turn on a linked turn. I come in to a turn and the back slides out and then I punch it and the back sticks like glue.
I have slide the back end out many many times on the freeway in 2nd like when I shift hard and changing lanes. but then it just snaps back after the lane change.
