Definately not. I don't think my Verde even has enough power to keep the rear 215/55R15 tires spinning in the rear at speeds like that. Good luck at WSIR!

Grant,
Let's try to make it to Jan's WSIR TT. Maybe we can drift on some of the big sweepers there

LOL!! I may have some competition then!!
The funniest thing happened today, I was looking at a Bayarea autoX forum a friend was telling me about and they were talking about what a neusance drifters have become at SCCA autoX events. I felt a little bit guilty for raising hell last weekend...
Pretty funny reading, especially coming from the other side of the fence as a wannabe drifter.

But for sure, I really want to head out to the next soonest TT possible! I did tell you about an upcoming thunderhill/Button Willow event right? We can continue this in PM format if you wish....

Neat video.
The related link that came up was Nizam chasing down an NSX at Laguna Seca

Of course I won't be drifting on every lap, the marshalls would probably black flag me. Would be cool to drift on the cool down lap hehe.
Please PM me about the event.

O man, that's EXACTLY what I tried to do at the driving school. I don't think anyone noticed....but it would be really bad to spin out on the cool-down...
I'm waiting for some info myself, but i'll let you know when I do.

Grant,
That's a great video. I was at the Formula D final last weekend and it was an awesome event. It was the first actual drift event I've been to and I am hooked! I'd really like to start hitting up the amateur events with a car, but don't know what I want. You coming down for D1 in December?

I do think I want to see D1. From what I've heard, it is AWESOME!! The Formula D events we have at infinion raceway (Sears Point) are pretty craptacular. The course just isn't large enough and isn't really exciting to watch in my opinion. I was very surprised to see Hulk Holgan (spell?) in the announcer's booth co-hosting the event until I realized his son was entered in Formula D as a competitor! Hulk's a wrestler, his son is a drifter, and his daughter a pop singer...that man has his a@@ covered!
So, I'll slide the Milano and you slide the Ferrari 308, how's that sound? =)
In all seriousness though, if you want help picking the RWD Nissan or Toyota to abuse at these events, PM me and I'll give you a quick run down of what some good choices are.

Nizam and Zamani,
Last Sunday as I was getting onto a twisty onramp with the GTA and the thought of clutch kicking it to initiate a drift went through my mind so instead I floored it to bring the rear out and slid it all the way through.
Any other drifters here besides Grant?

I ain't clutch kickin' my track Milano, that's fer sure. I'll find that AE86 and beat the foshizzle out of it. No point in breaking a perfectly good car (over 20 incident-free track events!) I'll drift it at the next 24 hours of Lemons, no doubt.
A drift event sounds expensive as well, and while it looks fun, I'm still struggling with the notion of burning rubber for the hell of it ... I mean, I burn through a set of Hoosiers ($$$) twice a year, but it garners me lap times, and the occasional opportunity to show up something exotic like an NSX ... but to burn it for "style points" and "gain respect", for "408 represent"?
I'm going to have to think about it some more :/

Yeah, I don't think Alfa drivelines will hold up long while drifting.
Here are some pictures of a co-worker drifting his S-14 at Willow Springs.
