Where to get a windshield??

My windshield is cracked all the way across and pitted so bad I can barely see when driving towards the sun... where can I get a replacement in the US? Thanks!

I called SafeLite a while back and they only wanted like $150-170 installed for a Milano windshield. The guy on the phone seemed to think it was no problem getting one and they had them in stock supposedly.

I'm holding off until when I paint the car... hopefully they will have one.

You can also get a windshield from SmartAutoGlass. They got mine the next day! (This was about 2-3 years ago...)

I've had Safelite install my windshield in my Milano. They took 24 hours to get it from a "regional warehouse". The only thing was, they could not source the gasket so I had to provide them with it (they are available from Alfa Parts in Berkeley, 510-525-9435, or from your favorite Alfa parts dealer). The windshield even had the bronze tint -- you can order them with either green or bronze tint to match the windows in your car.

The install took 4 hours, and cost me $180 with CA sales tax. No problems with the install were noted. Four years on, the windshield needs to be replaced again due to pitting and cracks gained from all that track action (people keep flying off the track in front of me and spraying pebbles at me ... I never fall of the asphalt ... nosirreee ... )

I'd do it again. Safelite's OK in my book.

I got my old Milanos glass replaced at Harmon Auto Glass (Seattle). I called and asked about getting it and they said no problem. I made the appointment for the next day and 24 hours later I had a new windshield. It was about $200.

So they don't seem too hard to get.
