How much a verde engine worth?

Selling my 3.0 to a friend, but want fair market value. What do they go for?

Here's the specs:

87 3.0, 160k miles, burns oil (valve seals and/or guides), no rebuild or head work that I know of. Completely stock. Needs a rebuild. Basically, selling as a running core with no guarantees. He's going to build a big, bad 3.0 out of it for his GTV6.

I paid $250 for the 164 engine that I just dropped into my Verde this summer. Didn't need any rebuilding. Granted I think that was a pretty decent deal. I seem to remember seeing them on e-bay in the $750 range but I can't remember if those were besing sold as not needing a rebuild or not.

I sold a running 3.0, unknow oil use, 98K on it with both computers and the harness for $700 a year ago. To a friend $500 for everything would be fair.
