High beams stay on all the time.

I have searched the manual for a high beam relay that may be stuck. I cic not see one listed in the relays. Is there a High beam relay? Is that what the issue is? I had to pull the fuses on the high beams to drive the car.

There isn't a relay, it just all goes through the switch. I have had two of them disintegrate internally, it is a bit of a bad design. I just fitted an Alfa 33 switch, which seems to be a better design, it only requires some minor modification of the wiring & the addition of a high / low beam relay. I will see how long that lasts.

If someone retrofitted a relay it won't "release" properly because the switch leaks through something like 7-8 volts in the off position, enough to hold a relay shut but not to trigger it initially.
I solved the problem with a zener-diode in series with the high-beam relay I installed.
