Question The ARC oil light

So my oil psi drops at idle when the car is warm, no big deal, as ive seen all Alfas do that, plus the mechanic says the sender unit is probably faulty. But recently the dipstick light on the ARC has remained on as long as the ignition is on, car warm or cold. Dipstick obviously shows a full tank...Alfa electrical problem?

The dipstick light is for oil LEVEL, not pressure. The sender does often malfunction. Its tough to get at. Its located in the side of the block, drivers side. Just behind the alternator is the plug that goes into it. It might have just popped off as has happened to me.
I see you cured your wiring problems, tho, if thats the only problem!

If the low oil level sending unit is bad, and you don't plan on replacing it, yet want to get rid of the lit warning light on the ARC, you can put a 100 Ohm (I believe it is) resistor, between the terminals of the connector to the sender unit - won't work to short it as with some of the other sender units.
