Update: Carbon Fiber / Fiberglass Hood Group Buy;

So, I got some more answers and I think that personally, I'm going to go Carbon Fiber for my order...

You can bolt your standard hood-latch and stand right on your own CF/FG hood (it takes care, not to crack them though - pre-drill guides etc etc...

Here are some additional Qs&As with Ron:

On the hood;

1)I want to save on the shipping, so I plan on buying several at once; what is your lead-time on CF and on FG?
3 to 5 weeks

2)Is there a volume discount for say 6 hoods total (in CF and in FG...?)
let me know exactly what you need and i will see what i can do.

3)Do these come with an OEM hood latch, rather than the pins?
This is very important; this market doesn't like the "riceburner look" of the hood pins, or the "flappy fit." I'm OK with the look of it, (like the cars in the European Touring Car and Rally Car Championships)... It's not bad, but because Alfa is absent from these shores, the Americans try to maintain their Alfas and they like OEM fits... Especially on cars like the Milano, where a nice one is hard to come by...

You can fit the original parts for locking or go for the hood pins whatever you like the best.

4)Can you send me some shots of the finish on the inside so that I can see the finish, hood supports etc...?
Yep. I'm going to work on this one. Hope to think about this when I am with the car this coming weekend.

Here are some pics:

I have some really nice shots...

...of the inside and so on, but the BB keeps bouncing them back as too large...

Ok... so how much does it weigh and how much will it cost including shipping?

Also, what's the weight on the trunk and cost?

I don't want to discourage anybody from buying these products , but personally that hood looks like sh*t. I have helped installed Carbon Fiber hoods and fenders on my friends civic that he ordered from Japan and the color, and material looks totally different.
CHIP
I belive it was you that posted a picture of Carbon Fiber hood on a Milano a while back and the hood looked alot different from the ones posted.

I agree that the hood looks bad. First of all it looks like kevlar or something because it has a yellow tint to it. What's up with the seam running down the middle of the hood?

For my application it doesnt really matter, as long as it has a good smooth surface to paint. Mine will be painted body color.
