That's a tough one - not exactly a whole lot of comps... Had it been a verde it would be quite a jewel. It still is, but in terms of a sale you need to find that buyer who will appreciate your time capsule.

1989 milano

Does your Milano have the lip type rear spoiler common at first to 3.0's?

Good Lord Have Mercy!!

Look at the date of the original posting, well over a year ago from a person that hasn't posted a thing since then!

No, he hasn't posted, but it hasn't been a year since he's been on the BB - more like 9 mos... I think that there is a very good possibility that this low mileage car is still available. Certainly worthwhile sending him an e-mail (rather than a PM), IMHO...

Best regards,

Cool

I just wanted to know something about the car, not BUY it. I've since found out that '89 Milanos mimic several features of the 3.0 series, namely the red reflector across the back and also the red taillights, although those taillights are styled differently; they have twin backup lights per lens.

Not being rude, but try not to flip out, you'll last longer.

Thanks Del. I just bought an '89. It's a bit rough, but can be rejuvenated. Lovely car.

No. Outer is turn signal, inner is backup light - just like any other Milano/75.

One thing I remember is that there is accommodation for the Euro rear fog warning lights as on the 164's. However, they are not hooked up, and I haven't bothered because we just don't use the Milano where we are likely to get fog or much highway spray.

Have used them on the 164's, though, when driving on the freeways with lots of vehicle spray or fog, where drivers can't see that far. There is always some moron blasting along with his head up where the sun doesn't shine, and I think these lights are great.

The Milano _does_ have rear foglights. They are brilliant (in some sense) since they are on both tail lights = if you got someone tailgating you, turn on the rear foglights while you step on the gas They'll think you hit the brake pedal. Newer cars have rear fog light only on one side.

Ah, maybe you are correct, I was probably thinking of the Alfetta sedan we had. I don't drive the Milano much, being my wife's possession, so tend not to remember some of this correctly. The Alfetta definitely had them but not hooked up, as these lights were at one time illegal in the US. Still might be as far as I know. Remember reading about them in an old car mag.

My original question was about the '89 Milanos having a lip type spoiler like the 3.0 versions, but since taking possession of the vehicle, it does indeed have that pronounced spoiler. Quite charming. Maybe I'm a little off, but I think that Milano values have but one place to go and that is up. where else are you going to get all the features this car has crammed into one enigmatic package? It's also much lighter than current sedans of today, so it handles like a ballerina. quite a fetching car, I wish Alfa would consider bringing it back. Ya never know.

Welcome back to the bb.
