burning Milano, sad news

This morning a co-worker saw a black Milano that was on fire on the 405 SB at Euclid off-ramp, according to him the car was a complete loss.

Hopefully was not from someone on this forum.

Many, many Milanos have been lost to fire

Here are a few things that everyone can do to prevent it:

1) Check and replace rubber lines from fuel rail to fuel injectors

2) Clean heater fan of leaves and fabricate a screen to prevent them entering

3) Carry a good fire extinguisher

how about add a fuse to the unfused L-jet system. that runs unfused powerwires all over the place.

I've posted this before, but here are photos. This is a 15 minute project that can save your car! I used "Bee Screen", but other semi-flexible metal or plastic screening will work. Attachment with 3M Double Sided Trim Tape makes it easily removable. Once installed it's barely visible under the cowl.
