Thanks. Yup, TT and Race - under the contingency that I get it all done. Better mail the registration form, made hotel reservation some time ago.

Front - 30 mm, rear is stock. No more of that body roll Before it goes on, reinforcement plates from Performatek will be welded on to prevent the bar from tearing the sheet metal.

Completed the front mounting the rebuilt front calipers and Porterfield pads.

1. Completed front with rebuilt calipers.
2. A luxury with rebuilt calipers - don't think so Amazingly it hadn't yet failed.

Basically, a seal around one of the pistons in the left front caliper. The rear calipers are toast too. Coming back from the race school at the streets they were ok, but after sitting for a week the left rear started leaking brake fluid at a rapid pace. Rebuilt stock calipers will go in the rear as well.

I had the same problem. A couple of race school weekends started a rear leaking. I rebuilt them both of course. Snap us picture of the performantek gussets when you get attached.

Nope. The stock bumper already lost 20+ lbs. Take another guess.

I'm gonna guess it's not body related becasue you spent so much time on the bumpers and wouldn't throw that away I think...so it must be..

An additional engine!

You mean, like a bi-motore? Hmm, that would be something.

Well, I happen to have an extra platinum transaxle with known good syncros and LSD sitting. I'm about to drop the DeDion and transaxle so that I can swap the transaxle. In the process the rear calipers will be replaced with rebuilt ones, the rear RSR coil and shock will go on, and new old stock rotors will be mounted.

Swapping Transaxle

Ok, I unbolted everything connecting the Dedion and transaxle to the chassis and with the help of Colin lowered it on two jacks and pulled it out - pretty straightforward. I moved over the rebuilt shift linkage from Roxanne, had to unbolt old rotors and calipers from Roxanne since the spare transaxle did not have the studs for the rear calipers (guess why?) nor the spacer thingy securing the rear rotors to the differential. Mounted old turned rotors and rebuilt calipers on the spare transaxle. Pretty much ready to go back in, perhaps Tuesday evening if Colin has time to lend a hand.

Some pics.

1. The Dedion + transaxle out of Roxanne, the spare in the background.
2. Old transaxle out of Roxanne with stuff unbolted.
3. Spare transaxle ready to go back in.
4. Rebuilt calipers and turned rotors. Adjusting the pistons is always a good check of your memory - on 3 of them you turn the adjustment screw counter clockwise to move the piston towards the rotor, while you turn the adjustment screw clockwise on the inner left side piston to move it towards the rotor
5. The rebuilt shift linkage moved over from Roxanne.

Do the rules require keeping parking brake/original calipers?

No, but I'm maxed out in Group D with the latest changes - no points to play with. Non-stock calipers, rotors (such as vented) would add points. No requirement for parking brake, I think.
