Question Brake sound...

Hi all,

I just replace my brake pad recently, after replaced, a sound "yeeeeee~~~~~~~~" appear when I slightly step on the brake paddle. So I thought is time for me to skim the disc. After I skim the disc, the problem didn't solve, is anyone experience this problem?? how can i fix it?? thanks.

A lot of times brake squeal is from the pads vibrating. Check to see if the springs are putting enough pressure on the pads. You can also put some of that gooey anti-squeal compount on the backs of the pads and it should help.

What kind of pads? My Pagid pads squeal like crazy if you apply only gentle pressure, I think the clever guys over at Pagid did this to remind the driver to really step on it while braking...
I take it that the sound disappears when you brake hard?

yes, the sound dissapeared when i press the pedal hard. One more thing, the sound only came from Left hand side.. and I notice the maybe the sound is cause by one pad earlier touch the disc. could it be??

The last brake job on my old Milano left the brakes REALLY loud...I don't remember what pads were put on, but knowing my mechanic, I think they were most likely stock (just can't remember at the moment). Sounds to me like the pads are vibrating, like mentioned.
