Short-Throw Shifter

Saw a short-throw B&W shifter today for a rice-burner...

Anything like this available for a Verde?

You can cut down your shifter, and re-weld it. I cut mine down by one inch so it doesn't look like a shifter on a Tata bus in New Delhi.

Is it a "short throw"? Well ... it does have shorter travel. Would I cut it down more? Probably not, but that's because I have short arms. You taller folk could get away with a two-inch cut.

Not much can be done underneath, I'm afraid.

The PO of my verde had done this...cut 1 inch off. He put on a momo shift nob, which is a bit thicker...so the throw actually feels pretty nice.

What do the Shankle short shifter kits for the GTV-6 do?

I dont know about the Shankle piece, but I installed Alfa Heaven's Short Throw shifter on my GTV6. I doesnt lower the shifter but keeps it at the same height. It shortons the throw because it is longer under the pivot ball.
It worked but it was noticibly more difficult to shift.

I cut my shifter down a couple of inches and it made a difference in the distance of the throw. Put on a new shifter and presto! looked more modern. I did have a hlle of a time cutting that bastard with a hack saw!

Was there any difference in shift effort?

Yeah, it seemed like the effort was less. I really liked it.
