Exhaust X pipe

Any one ever use a x pipe cross over in their exhaust? If so what were the results.

I have one on my race car. It works well and I notice more torque difference than power. Did not do a syno run with it...yet, but it feels faster (I think)

Andrew,

Rex Chalmers has experimented with an exhaust crossover on the V6 and found significant HP and torque inceases. I believe this was a singe crossover "H" and not an "X" type configuration.

The location of the crossover is key to tuning the performance - certain placements will give you torque lower down, other placements will move it up in the rev range.

I went with a burnsstainless merge collector 2" X 2 in and 2.5" X 1 out. since my Milano runs a single 2.5" pipe after that.

Here is a photo of an X-pipe by Burns Stainless. I equalizes out gas flow on a V6 with separate tubes that do not merge, often gaining you torque.
