Glovebox keeps coming open.

Do I have a clip of some sort missing or is my glovebox just 'old and worn'?
Every time I accelerate moderately the glovebox slides open? Has anyone else experienced this?

same problem here and I would greatly appreciate an answer as well. I was considering getting a small magnet to hold it closed but to just figure out what is wrong would be better i suppose.....

I had the opposite of this issue.

My first glovebox would hardly open, took a hell of a lot to move..i mean a good amount of force.
Then i got the parts car, and it had what appeared to be a newer glove box (delivery number on the side) and when i accelerated it would slightly slide open.

I think for newer glove boxes (or maybe worn out ones?) the plastic on track wears down enough that it begins to slide out.

Really ruins the milanos 'no glovebox' secret though.

There should be a Velcro tab on it.

Mine has no velcro, but is definitely of the "takes some muscle to open" variety.

I recently found out there was a magnet that is supposed to hold that little arm rest compartment shut....

the things you learn with parts cars!

there is meant to be a magnet that holds the centre consol lid shut as there should be velcro strips on both sides of the GB.

Just to add my experience, my glovebox takes a good amount of force to open and close. No velcro tabs either.

Velcro is right at the back of the GB you have to remove the GB draw to see it.If your GB is hard to pull out make sure the guide rails are lining up.
