Question Alfa 75 wheels/tires question

Hi there guys,
I have a 91 TS with the wheel arches. my tyres have just about had it and was thinking of upgrading. Will any Alfa 5 stud pattern wheel fit. Including the later models. Does anyone have some wheels for sale with good tyres.

From my experience, no they won't fit dead on.

The 75 wheel hub is 58.5mm, whereas the centrebore on later model Alfas are 58mm. Stud pattern is the same though (5x98)

It's not a hard problem to fix though, cost me $40AUD to have the centrebores redone on my wheels so they matched up. I should be picking them up sometime this week. An engineering shop should be able to do it for you, or if you have a good wheel repair shop you use, they can either do it or contract it out for mates rates!

I found some wheels off a 2002 Alfa 166. They have 10 holes along the out edge of the rimm. I seen a few pics of them on a 166. Not too sure how they woul dlook on my 75. Does anyone out there have these rims and maybe a photo they can share. Should I just stick with getting some new tires for my original 14inch rimms.

Just be wary of the offset, later 5-stud alfas have different offsets so it may look/rub funny.

Just look for 5x98mm on center and a 16" wheel is safe and looks right in a 30-35mm offset. The width will likely be between 7-7.5". When shopping for wheels, the offset is often referred to as "ET". I have two sets of wheels in each of these offsets and they work fine and do not rub. I currently run the wider offset and honestly don't like them as much. Wider gets you more stability but IMO this car is stable as it is. The narrower setup made transitioning much faster so the choice is yours.

The 166 is one model where Alfa didn't use the 5 x 98 bolt pattern, so these would not work. For some reason they used 5 x 108 on the 166.

I have a specific question. A guy, who shifted from 15" to 16" on his Alfa-156 offered his standard 15" wheels to me. From what I read I guess I shouldn't even try putting them on my 75TS?

I have the exact same wheels on mine.

Itīs not an easy fit because the center hole had to be enlarged to 58,5mm (itīs 58mm on recent Alfaīs).
After this, just pull out your olīstock "14 and fit the 156 in

The offset sucks, though...Iīm fitting wheel spacers soon.

Here are some photos:

(and yes...itīs lowered...3cm front 4cm back )

Thanks for info! Why do you fit spacers? Is it really a problem? I would use 195x50 (or55) tires if 15" deal goes right (ought to check if our craftful mechanics are capable of boring 0.5mm bigger holes

Wheel spacers are not a problem.

Itīs just to bring the offset back to ET30

About the tires...I am runnig on Michelins 205/50R15.

195 looked too skinny on the 75...

Will you order spacers in some shop or they could be custom-made only? If 205 fits it is great. I thought about 195 just because they were standard in Europe even on 3.0 and I expected the offset issue

PS Just noticed your signature. Although I got a grey-blue 75, I very much agree that the proper Alfa should be red and definitely RWD

instead of opening the bore of the wheels, i had custom spacers, 58.5mm to fit hub and 58mm to fit wheels. front spacers 20mm and 25mm on rear.

car's not lowered which should be.
