No problem. However there's probably more 2.5V6's around than TS's.

Alfa 75 / Milano are great cars, both 4 as well 6 cylinders.
IMO you can feel that the 75 T.S. is better balanced in some circumstances, the V6 (2.5 or 3.0) has a great power and an excellent handling as well.
The 75 Turbo it's still different; smooth if original, astonishing if properly modified.
Perhaps as a daily driver a Twin Spark is cheaper.
I bougth my first 75 new in 1992 (it was my first car) and it was a 2.0 T.S. Limited Edition (Recaro interior, sunroof, etc.)
At present I own 16 Alfa 75s (2x 75 3.0 Quadrifoglio, 1x 75 3.0 America, 2x Milano Gold, 2x 75 Turbo, 1x 75 1.6, 5x 75 T.S., 3x 75 T.S. Limited Edition); this is my tribute to this great car.
Still nowadays it's very diffucult to find new cars which give the same driving pleasure and satisfaction.
So, buy your 75 T.S. and enjoy it. Perhaps you'll buy a 75 3.0 too.

Here are some pics of my 75s

Best regards

Giovanni

Wow....

That is rediculous! I thought I was crazy for having 2 Biturbos and 2 Milanos...I don't even come close.

So, I've always wondered this: Can you feel a difference between 2 identical cars? Comparing a twinspark to a twinspark or a v6 to a v6? Do identical cars really drive identically, supposing nothing needs repairing or refreshing?

I'd like to see more pictures of your 75 collection. I like that polizia version a lot!

Giovanni,
Nice "little" collection of 75s.
Could you look up the paint code in trunk of the gray 75 in the 2nd picture - the one with Ronal A1 wheels? It looks lighter than the gray in the 3rd picture - not just the sun, or is it...???

Sort of like this..

On my (ex) 2.5V6 the petrol tank is in the same place as the TS's, so the boots are identical. Only holds 33L maximum these days.

Just a word on the air-con - it's dreadful, even when working. Massively underpowered for an Australian summer. I love my 75 2.5, but it's a windows-open drive from November to March in Sydney.

On the plus side, the engine sounds so nice that I want the windows open anyway.

WOW!

Nice collection GiuliaSprintGTA....

That is real devotion. Are you in the italian part of Switzerland? (I'm in the french part...).

To add my 2 cents worth. I've had 2 75 3.0s and have driven Twin Sparks too. Well, in everyday driving, and if you're comparing standard cars, a TS feels a bit limp compared to a 3.0. You kind of wonder where all the excitement went.

As for handling, I'll second Giovanni's thoughts and add that late 3.0s (Quadrifoglio or Potenziatas) seem to handle even better than earlier Americas/Milanos. My totally stock Quadrifoglio is definitely sharper than my old '89 America.

Hi Grant

thanks for your comments; I could say that you can really feel a difference between 2 identical cars. For example there is difference in performance between my Twin Sparks: some of them are smooth other much more nervous and powerful.
The same thing if I compare my black 3.0 Quadrifoglio (or Potenziata as correctly said by realdriver) vs. my middle grey 3.0 Quadrifoglio: the first one has much more power (more powerful than a pair of ES 30 I tested some years ago).
So I can confirm, by my personal experience, that there are differences between idetical cars; I can confirm this also if I compare the different 105s. Alfetta or Alfa 6 I have.
I'll post more pics with great pleasure

Hi Jes

I'll check the correct paint code and I'll let you know.
But be careful: the car in the second picture (3.0 Quadrifoglio with Ronal) is original middle grey that is a bit lighter compared to the middle grey of the 3.0 America you see in the first picture.

The Twin Spark in the third pic is a T.S. Limited Edition and is black met.
This colour had only been used on the LImited Edition series of 75 built between 1991 and 1992; Alfa Romeo did 1500 Turbo Quadrifoglio Ltd Edition (colours available:Alfa red, black met, silver met.)and 3500 T.S. Ltd Edition (colours available:Alfa red, black met, silver met., white, black for some markets).

Hi Realdriver

thanks for the kind comments
Yes, I'm in the italian part of Switzerland.

I totally agree with you: late 3.0s (Quadrifoglio or Potenziatas) handle even better than earlier Americas/Milanos and they are really more powerful too.
In fact the Motronic is much more better than early L-Jetronic.
If you compare standards cars, 3.0 Quadrifoglio or Potenziata have a better handling (in fact Alfa Romeo did on these cars some good improvements)

Best regards

Giovanni

Hello py105

yes, it's the same colour. In fact the T.S. in your pics, as you said, it's a second serie.
My 3.0 Q seems lighter because of the sun light.
First serie 75 T.S. / 3.0 middle grey was a little bit different, as my 3.0 America you can see on the right side in my first pic (difficult to see the difference through the pics).
If you need other infos concerning Alfa 75, let me know
Best regards
Giovanni
