That's nuts. A 6c2500 headlamp would be about double that price...

GUYS!

Ron Tonkin is an Alfa dealer and that is the Alfa list price. Beating him up over that price is like being angry at the sun for being hot - it's just the way it is. If you don't want to pay those prices, don't shop at a licensed Alfa dealer. I for one am glad they are there charging high prices so that if I NEED any of these parts I can buy them.

I sold a used set of PRISTINE Milano headlights and side marker lights for close to $800 on eBay a few years ago. I started them at $200 and that's just where the bidding ended up.

Joe

As some one here say this a correct price for a brand new part in an alfa shop.
I'm much more disapointed with the 50 USD required HERE ON THIS FORUM for a used Milano cigarett lighter without shiping....

Hey Joe wasn't beating him up over the price it just surprised me greatly. If he can get that much-- more power to him.

That's exactly what I told him. But keep in mind thats the starting point on that car. But the point is you can buy a used wrecked or poor condition car for more or less.

Thanks

Hey Joe wasn't angree at him but I get your point. I wonder what dictates the price set? Shipping, manufacturing, the supply and demand no more Alfas so I got you buy you cahonas.? Good point.

So let me understand. You guys are comparing a brand new factory head light assembly to a crapped out used car? Sure, I can buy a used Ford Escort for $100, but the passenger window, new from the dealership is over $600. I know a guy in this situation.

Just because the cars aren't worth anything doesn't mean the dealership should take a hit on what they paid for the parts. Give me a break.

So a new Milano was $22000 and a new headlight was $330, 1.5% of the car. So now that the cars are worth $500, the head light should be $7.50, right? Is that how it should be?

If the dealership bought this light for $250 in 1990 and has paid taxes on it for 15 years, plus lets factor in inflation, and the fact that finding new headlights is nearly impossible, the price of this headlight should be over $600 or more just to make a profit.

If you don't like the price, don't buy it. It's that simple.

Steve

That price is what it's worth. That sucks, but that's the way it is. This is another good argument for getting a GTV6 over a Milano.
