All of you guys making progress on your 24 valve projects and I am STUCK-stuck-stuuuuck!
Every day - it either rains, or my trailer/tow guy is tied up when the weather is nice... (Body is all bare metal - need a sunny day to get it to the body shop...) I a about to go and rent an enclosed trailer - Jes oh Jes where art thou!?
Maybe next week (but I'll be down in the Bay Area with Chuck finally getting his 24 valve installed in to that beautiful GTV6.)
Would be great to see that project rolling too though! (Such a beautiful car he has there!)

I have to keep my eye on the goal here since she is moving along so slow right now.... At least the car made it over to the body-shop on Tuesday and it is going again!
Also, what do you guys think about this paint-theme...? (Won't be as dramatic without the flat-winged areas, but yet-

Nice!
I'd probably just go flat-red and then do decals/graphic changes until we have it right.
I will likely use those two natural V-lines on the hood of the Milano to run the stripes towards the rear - bring them down to the sides of the car and follow the natural raised line across the rear quarters....
Ad-in a LARGE half-serpent draped accross the roof and doewn the one side - maybe a Martini banner accross the rear carbon fiber wing (headed this way from Germany by the way) and call it good! (Ron recons it works well above 60 kph...
Here is a shot of the carbon fiber wing (ad-in a billet C&C'ed aluminium center-support...) - 600 bucks US sans the aluminium mods or installation!

JJ,
That's interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a Milano with a wing on it. So is the trunk still able to open and close fully with the wing installed? Sounds like things are comming together nicely on your car. We have to get together for a beer and talk cars next time I'm in the Emerald City.

Why would one want to promote a product or company that makes evil people rich and everyone else die?

Hi JJ,
I'm no expert in aero design but i've read some papers in which they describe that the flex of the rear spoiler in the center durring operation actually increases downforce. It might be something to look into or consider before you spend the time and money to fab a center support

I just like the colours... Nothing else. No politics, no bunny-huggin' no Bush-slammin' no Oscar awards-statements, no Moby/Bono-U2/REM political statements/messages - I say; just play the music man...
I simply like the colours - Reminds me of a Yamaha RD 350 and an RZ500 two stroke V4 that I had back in SA!

ahhh bunny-huggin', good stuff.
I'm with you JJ, I can see doing a car in a particular livery (putting politics aside) in order to honor a driver or team from the past. I have no vested interest in Martini and yet I want to paint every car I own in their colors due to their awesome history of racing just about anything with wheels (esp italian things with wheels )!
In any case, I think a Milano would look fantastic in the martini paint scheme. Would you have a paint shop do all the masking and paint the stripes on or take the design to a graphics shop and have them done as vinyl?
