Open the hood, turn on the key and place your hand on the pump to be sure, it's circled in the picture

If the car has been sitting overnight, the ABS warning light should illuminate, and the pump run, when the key is first switched on, then the light should extinguish and the pump stop after 6 seconds or so when new, as the car ages it takes a few seconds longer. If the accumulator (ball atop the pump) is in good shape, the pump should only cycle on and off after depressing the brake pedal while driving, but the warning light should not illuminate again unless there's a problem, which by the way it is not just the lack of pressure in the accumulator that could illuminate the light while driving.

Well I just raised the drivers side back up one notch. It took about an hour. It looks pretty level now, but its still up on the ramps. Also powerwashed the engine while up on the ramps. I need to locate 4 wheel nuts to replace the wheel locks i had to break off. Havent been able to break off the rear locks yet. When I bought the car they said it had new brakes all the way around. The fronts arent new, pads are decent but the rotors arent very smooth. Might need to get them turned once I get this car to the point where I can actually drive it. Just need to find what the torque on the wheel nuts is supposed to be so I can torque them and take it for a spin.

The rear view mirrors vibrate alot when I drive the car. Is there a way to fix them, or do I need to replace them? Also working on cleaning up all the grounds under the hood, trying to locate them. Does anyone know how many there are?

Which rear view mirrors? All three? If so, I suspect the cause is an engine or driveshaft vibration. Just the inside rear view mirror? If so, it has a plastic adjustable stabilizer brace tube that pushes against the windshield at one end, and the back of the mirror at the other, this piece is frequently missing or about to fall to the floor on used Milanos. There are ground blocks at each side front corner in the engine compartment- see the black circles.

Thanx again Jim.

Its all 3 mirrors, the outside mirrors are actually loose in thier mounts, glass only. I compared them to mirrors on the verde that I found for parts. Those mirrors are firm in thier housing. But they are different then the verde mirrors on the front side, they will mount up though. I will go ahead and clean up these grounds.

Well I picked up the other outside mirror today off that platinum. I also got the hood but need to paint it and the mirrors black before I install them. Any suggestions on paint or prep before I get started here.

weld a nut to the lock, then put a socket on the nut.

The wheel locks are a non issue now. The guy that worked on the car before I bought it still had the key. But I had already broken 2 of the locks. So he gave me a key that fit the locks on the wheels of the verde in the junk yard, so I could replace my locks. Unfortunately when I got there, two of those locks were destroyed.I had to register the car, get it insured and smoged today. So I drove it all over the place today. What a blast, had some fun. Also started looking for a deal on the right size tire today. Would be nice to get rid of these balloons.

Been working on the car alot. I think I got the oil issue handled. Tightened up all the loose belts because they started squeeling last week. Painted the grill and the black piece infront of the windshield. I threaded the two prongs on the emblem in the grill to get them off easier next time. Then I installed them with nylon nuts so they wouldnt corrode on. Came out real nice, makes the bumper look bad. Once I finish the oil change and reinstall a sender I ll put a hood back on it. But Ill need to paint the hood black first because its silver. I also noticed today that Im missing the battery hold down. Need to locate one of these. Also noticed that there is a clear 2 inch tue that comes out of the pass side fire wall and runs down, who knows where. What is this for and where can I get another from, this ones toast.

If I understand you correctly that is a drain for water from under the black piece your painted - the cowl.
