Rubber body moldings

I was taking a look at mine yesterday and I noticed that the one that goes across the trunk lid ha some divots in it, or it looks puckered in a few places, so I decided to take it off. It seems that the indentations on the side that show correspond to where there are large globs of adheisive. Is there any way to straighten these moldings out? Thanks!
