WTB-Body trim...

Hi guys...

I'm hoping that someone might be able to help... I'm looking to replace the horizontal piece of trim that runs along the rear drivers (right hand side to the rest of you!!) quarter panel from the door to the spoiler... (the bit above the filler cap on the photo!)...

Anyone got any leads on where I could find one that's in better condition than mine which is pretty average at best!

Maybe it's better to...

Hmm that's probably a wrecking-yard type thing. How is it looking bad? Damaged? Split? You could take it off and paint it yourself almost. It's nothing too hard to get a nice finish on, a thin and small surface area.

If it is damaged, it could be fairly easy to repair... It is plastic isn't it. Plastic filler and alot of patience

I have seen one set of them come up on ebay a few months back (Australia) and the guy wanted the earth for 'em.

I painted the rear section that I had bought for my old milano. It turned out quite nice actually. Far better than weathered twenty year old rubber.

Here is a set on E-bay Italy. They do seem pricy but they are supposedly NOS:

ALFA ROMEO 75 V6 3.0 - SPOILER POST E LATERALE D'EPOCA su eBay.it Alfa Romeo, Ricambi Auto d'Epoca, Auto ricambi e accessori

Maybe the seller can be "talked" into shipping to the US?

Erm... Yeah... Sorry about borrowing the photo , but I lost all the photos of my 75 when my PC threw its toys out of the cot !

My trim is actually kinda warped... It no longer sits flush against the body which means there is a nice place for water (and all of that other cr*p) to collect!

What I didn't mention (which I guess could be kinda important)... I'm actually in New Zealand! But I guess if a seller is willing I'll buy from anywhere...

New Zeeeeee WoW you'll be able to buy a new milano for the price of shipping these trim parts. Like I said let me get some pics up for you soon I'll try. Make it worth my running around + the 3 million $$$ in shipping and it's yours

Thanks for the offer Jose... I'll PM you & take this off the board...

Publio... I'm not going to venture into pulling the trim off just yet... I guess I'll only something nasty & I prefer to live in ignorance (for the moment at least)! There'd be nothing worse than pulling the trim off & not be able to get it back on and not having a replacement to hand!

Cheers

There's two bolts inside your trunk near the rear of it, and then the rest is just two sided rubber FYI

I recommend getting one of those scrapers with a razor on the end,(the kind used to remove window stickers) those black glue spots can be a real pain to take off without the proper tools.
