Thats what I did, i just used an exacto knife with the blade extended far enough to cut the whole width slowly. With the Verde spoiler you should be able to pull out a bit and start from the rear forward, but on the gold (I removed to put on a Verde spoiler back in the day) it was easier working from the door back to the trunk lid
